Welcome to Newbridge Surgery Bath
Newbridge Surgery is a well-established family practice, in recently refurbished purpose-built premises with space rented out to an on-site pharmacy. As a dynamic, forward thinking team we consistently achieve extremely high scores against the national quality criteria. Access is through book ahead, same day and telephone appointments and pre-bookable Saturday morning clinics.
Continuity of care is delivered for the whole family with GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, Community staff, Midwifes and Occupation Therapists working together on site. Online repeat prescriptions and a range of complementary therapies, child and travel clinics are available.
We will be delighted to show new patients around the surgery by appointment.
Our surgery was constructed in 1990 from local Bath stone and has since been extended to provide additional services. The building provides level access and has a portable loop for those with hearing difficulties.
Limited parking is available for cars, and a cycle rack is provided. There is a bus stop outside the surgery.

NEW FROM 28th DECEMBER 2016
Feeling Poorly or have a Problem that needs to be Dealt with Today
During the winter months we have an increase in demand from patients needing to be seen on top of the ever increasing demand on your doctor's time.
We need to ensure we are able to continue offering you the excellent service are used to in an efficienet and safe way.
In order to ensure you see the most appropriate person at the most appropriate time, Reception will be asking for an indication of your problem and who you usually see.
If your problem is more urgent and needs to be dealt with on the day, Reception will initially book you a telephone appointment with your
GP to telephone you back. They may be able to deal with your problem over the telephone. If they need to see you they will invite you to come down to the surgery later that morning or afternoon.
We hope this new system will be beneficial to all our patients ensuring swift and appropriate care.
You can help with demand on appointments by only contacting us when necessary. Resources are available to help patients before needing to see a GP.
Help us by:
- Speaking to a pharmacist for advice
- Using over the counter medication
- Looking at helpful advice on NHS Choices
- Obtaining advice from NHS 111
Our Nurse Practitioner Sister Jo Wilson will continue to support the GPs seeing patients with urinary tract infections (UTI's or water infections), chest infections, coughs, colds and sore throats that the above remedies and advice have not helped
Please ensure we have an up to date telephone contact number for you
